Play with fire, pay the price.
Leila’s years on the carnie circuit were certainly an education. What she didn’t learn: how to be a vampire, or how to be married to the most famous vampire of them all. Adjusting to both has Leila teetering on a knife edge between passion and peril, and now the real danger is about to begin…
Vlad must battle with a centuries-old enemy whose reach stretches across continents and whose strength equals his own. It isn’t like Vlad to feel fear, but he does…for Leila, because his enemy knows she is Vlad’s greatest weakness. As friend and foe alike align against him—and his overprotectiveness drives Leila away—Vlad’s love for his new bride could be the very thing that dooms them both…
My Thoughts:
Every time I pick up a Jeaniene Frost book, I know that I’m
going to be in for an action packed and thrilling ride and the newest
installment in the Night Prince series,
Bound by Flames is no exception. This book was filled with non-stop action and
just enough mystery to keep you guessing what would happen next.
Frost has some of the most amazing characters that I have
ever had the pleasure of reading about.
Vlad and Leila are electric together (pun intended), and their love just
fires off the page (pun intended again).
They are absolutely perfect for each other and I love the fact that they
each seem to know when to push the other or when to let something go. They just know each other so well and they
can sense what the other needs without having it spelled out, and I love that.
As usual, Frost writes with absolute perfection and the
story flows flawlessly. I loved the fact
that there was so much packed into this book, it seems like so much happened
within the small number of pages. But it
wasn’t overload, there was just the right amount of stuff going on to keep it
interesting. And while I didn’t feel like
it ended on a cliffhanger, the ended definitely left me wanting more and I can’t
wait to see what happens in the final book.
