From Goodreads:

Angel Crawford is finally starting to get used to life as a brain-eating zombie, but her problems are far from over.  Her felony record is coming back to haunt her, more zombie hunters are popping up, and she’s beginning to wonder if her hunky cop-boyfriend is involved with the zombie mafia.  Yeah, that’s right—the zombie mafia.  Throw in a secret lab and a lot of conspiracy, and Angel’s going to need all of her brainpower—and maybe a brain smoothie as well—in order to get through it without falling apart.

My Thoughts:

Normally when you think of zombies you think of soulless, flesh crazed monsters that don’t care about anything but taking a bite out of you.  Diana Rowland’s zombies are different.  Although, they are not ‘alive’ they are still living.   The only difference between zombies and normal people is that zombies have to eat brains to keep from decomposing.

Angel has been working as a van driver for the coroner’s office for the last two months ever since she became a zombie.  This job keeps her out of trouble and gives her easy access to her ‘food’.  Angel has grown quite a bit in the last two months.  She went from a drug addicted felon to a hard working zombie.  I have to say that becoming an undead brain eater has been good thing for Angel.

Angel thought her problems with zombie hunters were over…well, she’s dead wrong.  A dead body is snatched, a guy that is supposed to be dead somehow dies again, a bad guy turns good and people that Angel knows are being murdered.  Angel’s trying to figure out if there are more zombie hunters that are responsible or if it could be the zombie mafia?

The White Trash Zombie series is fresh and innovative; it has just enough humor and mystery to keep you interested until the end.   I look forward to reading the next one.
