Never Land (Never Knights #2) by Kailin GowExpected pub: 9/24/2012

Welcome to Never Land, the land of Never and the world of rock, the world of new experiences and sensations, a world where music runs through the veins of the dedicated, and love is taken and given with consequences. Never (Neve) Knight, the lead singer and manager of a band filled with the hottest guys in rock finally gets the dream that she wanted: a label signing her band The Never Knights. It is what she always wanted, a band of her own and playing her own kind of music. Getting her band to where it was came at a high price, including giving up the man who makes her heart race and her blood pound, the man who caused her to nearly lose her band. As she gets ready to go on her world tour, fate brings her close to Danny Blue again, and she's not sure if she can give him up a second time even if it means losing the band.

My Review:

Neverland starts off one month after Never Say Never ends with the Never Knights opening for My Bloody Valentine in London and even though the Never Knights are playing together, nothing is the same as it was before.  There is still a lot of tension between the group because of Danny and Neve’s relationship and Danny is no longer part of the band.
After their performance in London, things take a turn for the worse with Geoff and it forces everyone to cool down on the personal feelings and reconsider what is the best for the band.
Neve is still the same girl that we met in Never Say Never; she’s still trying to step out of her father’s shadow and she’s trying to compete with Danny’s old girlfriend who passed away in a car accident.  I really liked Danny in the first book, but in this book every time Neve was getting comfortable with him something else would pop up. I really, really like Luc, he’s sweet and he honestly cares about Neve, I actually think that Neve would be a lot better off with him than with Danny.
For me Neverland was a quick, fast-paced read that I finished in one sitting. Kailin Gow knows how to keep a readers attention from the beginning until the end.  While I really liked Neve throughout ninety nine percent of the book, I didn’t like the way that she handled everything at the end of this book with Danny and Luc.
I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the Never Knights in the next book; Never Ending that comes out in January 2013.
